Alameda Ridge Home

This home was originally built in the first decade of the 20th century.  It is the only home (that we know of) by Portland architect Emil Schacht that is NOT listed on the historic registry.  As such it presented both the unique opportunity and responsibility of allowing a significant remodel.  We sought to meet the client’s needs for modern conveniences and amenities while preserving as much of the architect’s original design intent as possible.  The remodel encompassed all four floors and touched nearly every element and feature of the home.  Attached are just a few photos of the kitchen on the main floor, the master bath on the second floor, and the guest bath in the attic.  The contractor on this job, Siri (Orians) Miller of Sheila Reiley Design has now moved on to her own company at NEP Construction.
